Course Description

This course provides embedded systems developers with experience in creating an embedded Linux system targeting AMD SoCs using PetaLinux tools. It covers open-source embedded Linux components, the PetaLinux tool design flow, application creation and debugging, environment building, system booting using Arm® processors in AMD SoCs, root file system customization, Linux environment configuration, network setup, custom hardware development, and custom driver development.

The emphasis of this course is on:

  • Using open-source embedded Linux components
  • Using the PetaLinux tool design flow
  • Creating and debugging an application
  • Building the environment and booting the system using Arm® processors available in AMD SoCs
  • Customizing the root file system
  • Configuring the Linux environment and network components
  • Developing custom hardware and custom drivers
  • Focusing on embedded Linux development with AMD tool flow
